Air Fryer Yam Fries

Ingredients
  

  • - 3 large yams or orange sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fry shapes
  • - 2 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • - 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • - ½ tsp cinnamon
  • - ½ tsp garlic powder
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - ½ tsp black pepper
For chipotle dipping sauce:
  • - ½ cup mayonnaise
  • - 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce minced
  • - 1 tsp lime juice
  • - ½ tsp garlic powder
  • - Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Peel and cut yams into even fry shapes
  2. Pat completely dry with paper towels
  3. Toss with olive oil until evenly coated
  4. Sprinkle cornstarch over fries and toss again
  5. Add smoked paprika cinnamon garlic powder salt and pepper
  6. Toss until evenly coated
  7. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes
  8. Place fries in single layer in air fryer basket
  9. Cook for 10 minutes then shake basket well
  10. Cook another 10 minutes until golden and crispy
  11. Meanwhile mix all chipotle sauce ingredients together
  12. Season immediately after cooking and serve with chipotle sauce
